Procedure of Establishment of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Institutions in NCT of Delhi
As per Section 18 of DCPTOT Act.
- Prior permission for establishment of new
institutions, new course of study, etc.:
a. No Person
shall establish an institution; or
b. No institution shall, -
- open a new or higher course of study or training
(including a postgraduate course of study or
training) which would enable a students of such
course or training to quality himself for the award
of any recognized Physiotherapy or Occupational
therapy qualifications; or
- increase its admission capacity in any course of
study or training (including a postgraduate course
of study, or training)
except with the previous permission of the
Government obtained in accordance with the
provisions of the Delhi Council for Physiotherapy
and Occupational therapy Act.
- If before the commencement of this Act, any
person has established an institution or any
institution has opened a new or higher course of
study or training or increase its admission
capacity, such person or institution, as the case
may be shall seek, within a period of one year from
the commencement of this Act, the permission of the
Government in accordance with the provisions of the
Delhi Council for Physiotherapy and Occupational
therapy Act.
Note: Applications & Guidelines can be obtained
from Council Office on payment of the prescribed
fee.
